William (Bill) James Valley

William James Valley (“Bill”) 70, of Amarillo, passed away on Saturday, March 3rd 2021.

Bill was born in St. Louis Missouri on March 16, 1951 to Joseph and Sophie Valley. Bill worked for Bekins Transfer and Storage for 40 years. He was a hard worker, giving and selfless, but he was also a wild man, stubborn and full of energy. He liked to tell jokes and was a storyteller. He loved gardening, hunting, camping with the grandkids and fishing. But most of all he loved his wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lucille Valley; stepson George Sanchez of Clayton NM; step daughters Olivia and husband Leo Bernal of Amarillo; Nora and husband Anthony Dominguez of Dumas; a brother George Valley of Bourbon MO and five sisters Rita Bradley, Theresa Whitford, Christine Brake, Margie Patterson and Charlotte Valley from Missouri. Bill also has 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren who called him “grandpa”.

Memorial services will be at 11 A.M., Saturday April 10, 2021, at New Testament Christian Church of Amarillo located at 1502 SE 8th Avenue.
